MARKETS evolve. But we never expected this to impact French macarons.

 

Accor Asia-Pacific has launched an Indonesia-centric brand, Maha Cipta, to cater better to the huge domestic market.

 

The devil's in the detail, so macarons will have local flavours: ginger, jackfruit, even durian – oh là là, we're not sure how that would go down with international travellers.

 

Accor macarons, anyone?
